What is "Buyback Guarantee"?

CAR VX vehicle history reports with Buyback Guarantee provides coverage for what you paid for the vehicle and will refund your purchase price (up to 110% of the Average Market PriceCAR VX Average Market Prices represent recent (last 3 months) export prices of the vehicles available for purchase in Japan to the buyers from overseas, as volumes allow. This information can be found inside a CAR VX Vehicle History Report under the “VEHICLE DETAILS” section to the right from the “Buyback Guarantee” section. ) if you find a covered title defect that also meets the Buyback Guarantee terms and conditions.

For your convenience, we've listed some of the title problems that are covered by Buyback Guarantee, subject to the CAR VX Buyback terms and conditions.

• Junk or salvage
• Dismantled, rebuilt or reconstructed
• Flood damage
• Hail damage
• Fire damage
• Odometer exceeds mechanical limits
• Odometer was not actual mileage

CAR VX Buyback Guarantee is available at no extra cost to anyone who purchases a vehicle history report from CAR VX on a qualifying vehicle. To take advantage of Buyback Guarantee, follow these steps:

1. Purchase a CAR VX vehicle history report.
2. When you run your report, check the left side of the vehicle history report, underneath the "VEHICLE DETAILS" section. You will find an alert letting you know whether or not the vehicle is eligible for Buyback Guarantee. Note that only certain vehicles are eligible for Buyback Guarantee (see the CAR VX Buyback terms and conditions).

Making a claim

For your convenience, we've provided a basic overview of the criteria you must meet in order to submit a claim form. See the CAR VX Buyback Guarantee terms and conditions which govern any specific claim.

• You must own the vehicle at the time you make the claim.
• You must complete and submit a claim form as well as provide a complete copy of the CAR VX vehicle history report ("report").
• The CAR VX report must have been run prior to the purchase of the vehicle.
• CAR VX Buyback Guarantee expires one year after the date on the CAR VX report.
• You must provide proof of ownership of the vehicle as described in the CAR VX Buyback Guarantee terms and conditions.
• You must provide a copy of the Pre-Export Appraisal, certified by JEVIC or other Japanese licensed inspection organizations.
